Qualifications

• Must have strong general mechanical skills.
• Must be trainable and able to understand equipment processes.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math calculations.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate steel tube reduction equipment to reduce OD/ID/wall. Includes drawbenches and pointers.
• Review mill orders to ensure optimum processing.
• Report processing changes to department lead.
• Determine tooling for orders and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Ensure proper alkaline cleaning of product including blowing of plugs.
• Hazardous waste management and PPE compliance.
• Operate computer terminal, fork trucks, and cranes as needed.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Participate in problem solving teams and kaizen events to improve performance.
