Job summary

Carole Fabrics, part of the Hunter Douglas family, is seeking a Seamstress to join our Augusta, GA area manufacturing team. You will be responsible for face fabric and lining for drapery panels and ensure patterns match when joining seams.

The role involves operating sewing machines and maintaining production quality. We value high school graduates with sewing experience and the ability to read a tape measure; you should be comfortable standing long shifts and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Join fabric and lining materials according to production requirements.
• Operate serger and straight stitch sewing machines efficiently and safely.
• Sew side hems using the Sewing Automation 2300+ machine.
• Maintain consistent quality and productivity standards in a production environment.
• Handle and move fabric/materials, including lifting items over 30 pounds when required.
• Use hand tools and sewing equipment safely and properly.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
• Perform repetitive sewing and material-handling tasks while following workplace safety procedures.

Position Overview

Who you are

• Accuracy with names, numbers and spelling

• Capable of lifting on a continuous basis

• Follow written and verbal instructions
