Qualifications

• 1–2 years minimum experience in commercial door and hardware installation
• Solid knowledge of commercial doors (wood and hollow metal) and their associated hardware
• Proficient in using woodworking and metalworking tools and machines
• Ability to interpret technical documents such as hardware schedules and templates
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality work
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of ANSI/BHMA standards
• Experience with fire-rated door labeling or door/frame fabrication

Responsibilities

• Door Preparation & Hardware Installation: Accurately machine wood and hollow metal doors for commercial hardware, including hinges, locks, latches, closers, vision kits, and other components
• Read and interpret shop drawings, templates, and hardware schedules to ensure precise installation
• Tool & Equipment Operation: Use woodworking and metalworking tools and machines safely and accurately
• Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with team members while also working independently as needed
• Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment; follow OSHA requirements; use proper lifting techniques; wear PPE
