Job summary

MCC Label is seeking a Blumer Operator to set up and operate cutting machines (Blumer or PMC Die Cutter) to produce products to precise dimensions. The role includes loading materials, performing adjustments, and maintaining quality through knife changes and regular checks.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with 1–2 years of related cutting experience, and the ability to follow tickets and specifications while training new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–2 years of cutting operations experience.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements.
• Ability to interpret job tickets and specifications.
• Reliability and willingness to train others.

Responsibilities

• Review job tickets and rule-up to determine customer specifications.
• Operate computer to check/select program or modify as required; coordinate with QA for approval.
• Set cutter side guides; load and cut product; ensure operation meets specs.
• Check knife performance; change blades as needed with hand tools.
• Move finished product to staging; bring in skids and supplies from storage.
• Complete load tags, tally sheets and final job tickets.
• Train new Blumer Operators and helpers.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area and equipment.
• Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
