Job summary

5th Axis, Inc. is seeking a Deburr & Finish Technician to prepare precision-machined components for inspection, assembly, and shipping. You’ll deburr, sand, blast, and finish parts using hand tools and finishing equipment, while ensuring critical dimensions remain intact.

You will record labor and production data in Epicor, report discrepancies or safety concerns, and maintain a clean, safe work area. Training is available for motivated candidates starting a manufacturing career.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, consistent work.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use common hand tools.
• Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
• Patience and focus for detailed finishing work without damaging part features.

Responsibilities

• Deburr, sand, blast, and finish machined parts according to work instructions, production requirements and procedures.
• Remove burrs and surface imperfections without altering required dimensions or edges.
• Use approved hand tools and finishing equipment safely and correctly.
• Load/unload parts from blasting equipment as trained.
• Visually inspect completed work for defects and finish quality.
• Accurately record labor time and production information in Epicor.
