Job summary

Prisma Nashville Llc is seeking a Cutter Operator to set up and operate industrial cutting equipment for paper and cardstock, ensuring cuts meet exact specifications. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and strict adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

High school diploma, GED, or trade school background required.
1–2 years of experience operating industrial paper cutters in a commercial printing, packaging, or bindery environment.
Strong ability to read a precision ruler and perform fractional, decimal, and metric conversions.

Responsibilities

Set up programs and program cutting coordinates into guillotine or flatbed cutters.
Load, jog, and align large stacks of paper on the cutter bed and execute cuts with safety controls.
Measure cut sheets and inspect for squareness, ink smudges, or uneven cuts.
Perform routine machine maintenance and report issues to technicians.
Stack, count, label finished jobs, and transport to shipping or bindery stations using pallet jacks.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace and wear required PPE.
