Job summary

PrintWorkers is seeking a skilled Die Cutter Operator to set up, operate, and maintain die-cutting presses for precise cuts on paperboard and related substrates. Training is provided on our equipment to ensure high-quality output and minimal waste.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of experience in die-cutting within the paper printing industry, strong mechanical aptitude, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Safety and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years operating die-cutting machinery, sheet cutters in printing.
• Strong knowledge of paper weights, scoring, creasing and dies.
• Ability to use hand tools for adjustments and make-readies.
• Great attention to detail to spot defects and alignment issues.
• Must be able to stand long hours, lift up to 50 lbs, work fast-paced.

Responsibilities

• Machine Setup & Operation: Set up and operate manual or semi-automated die-cutting presses per job tickets and dielines.
• Tooling & Die Preparation: Install dies, stripping components, and counter-creasing matrices; make-ready for clean cuts.
• Quality Control: Inspect first-offs and perform regular checks for registration, depth and dimensions.
• Substrate Handling: Manage paper/paperboard stock feeds and adjust settings for calipers, weights and grain directions.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot mid-run issues to minimize downtime.
• Safety & Documentation: Maintain a clean, safe environment and log production data, waste counts, and time tracking.
