Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic knowledge of mathematics, algebra and physics.
• Four years of documented experience and/or training as a Cutter Grinder.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.
• Set up and operate conventional or CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders).
• Operate CNC preset equipment and perform precision cutting as per specs.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cutting tools using CNC and conventional machines.
• Sharpen and form cutting tools to prescribed dimensions.
• Test and verify finished tools with calipers, micrometers and dial indicators.
• Read blueprints and specifications to plan operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery.
