Job summary

MacLean Power Systems (MPS) is a leading manufacturer of engineered products and solutions used in the maintenance, repair, upgrade, and construction of transmission, distribution, and substation infrastructure. This position is with MacLean Power, LLC in Wisconsin and involves operating high-speed coil winding machines to produce copper wound coils for medium-voltage transformers.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) at a pay rate of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate machinery in a seated position for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow production instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous manufacturing or production experience.

Responsibilities

• Review transformer winding and assembly documentation to determine proper wire size, number of turns, and core specifications
• Set up winding machines according to production requirements
• Operate winding equipment efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Manually insert insulation material between winding layers as required
• Change wire and materials as needed during production runs
• Monitor machine performance and report operational issues to supervisors promptly
• Assist in other manufacturing areas during periods of reduced production volume
