Job summary

Temcon Concrete Construction Co. is seeking skilled Form Setters to join the construction team in Tempe. You will build and set forms for concrete structures, reading blueprints and ensuring precise layouts to support durable foundations.

Requirements include 2+ years of form setting, ability to read plans, and proficiency with hand and power tools. A strong emphasis on safety and teamwork helps ensure quality workmanship on commercial, residential, or municipal projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of concrete form setting experience required.
• Strong understanding of formwork systems, layout, and grade setting.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and elevations.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Experience working on commercial, residential, or municipal projects.
• Attention to detail and precision.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Teamwork and communication.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood or metal forms for footings, walls, slabs, and structures.
• Set and align forms to grade and elevation using levels, lasers, and other tools.
• Install braces, anchors, and supports to ensure stability of forms.
• Verify formwork dimensions, layout, and squareness prior to concrete placement.
• Work closely with concrete finishers and laborers during pours.
• Strip (remove) forms after concrete has set and perform cleanup.
• Maintain and repair formwork materials for reuse.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Coordinate with Foreman and crew to meet project timelines.
