Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an assembler to join our production team in the United States. The role involves assembling and disassembling components using hand and power tools, following detailed work instructions, and maintaining quality throughout the process.

You will work on a production floor with 5S principles, adhere to SOPs/JSAs, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm, with variations communicated at hire.

Qualifications

• Light industrial or mechanical background required.
• 3-5 years of experience in mechanical work and using specialized tools.
• Follow detailed assembly instructions and processes.
• Assemble and disassemble components, inspect connections for correct fit and secure subassemblies.
• Maintain a clean and safe 5S workplace.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work on production shop floor with varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by following detailed work instructions and fastening subassemblies.
• Disassemble components using hand and power tools.
• Inspect connections for proper fit and secure components.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety on the shop floor; adhere to SOPs/JSAs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
