Job summary

First Independence Bank is seeking a Loan Documentation Specialist to document all commercial loans and process paid off loans. The role requires reliability, organization, and the ability to multi-task while communicating effectively with staff and customers.

The position reports to the Loan Operations Manager and is Non-Exempt. A minimum of 2 years in loan documentation, familiarity with loan file structure, and proficiency with Word/Excel are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a loan documentation role.
• Familiar with loan file structure and loan origination software.
• Computer skills and knowledge of Word and Excel programs.
• Extraordinary attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and supply information on HMDA reportable loans processed to management.
• Order all Flood Certificates, UCCs and COGS, Title Work, etc.
• Complete documentation checklist by reviewing commercial loan file.
• Identify and clear compliance issues.
• Type all commercial loan documentation – New, Renewals, Extensions, Letters of Credit, etc.
