Job summary

Austin Industrial seeks a combination welder to join metal parts according to layouts, blueprints, or instructions. Candidate will use spot, electric, or gas welding to weld pipes, plates, and assemblies, with strict attention to fit, heat, and safety. Must have 3–5 years journeyman experience and a Weld Test plus a valid DL.

We require physical stamina to lift, climb, and work at heights, with emphasis on quality and safety compliance in industrial environments.

Qualifications

• Education: - no minimum education requirements.
• Certifications/Licenses: Weld Test and DL
• Experience: - 3-5 years of Journeyman level experience.

Responsibilities

• Weld or tack weld pieces using spot, electric, or gas welding equipment per layout, blueprints, or work orders.
• Join pipes or metal plates, ensuring proper alignment and fit before welding.
• Preheat and prepare pieces; adjust heat, gas flow, and flame for proper welds.
• Inspect welded joints for consistency and meet specifications; lift heavy parts as needed.
