Job summary

Silgan Containers Manufacturing Corporation is seeking a Coater Operator to join our Indiana plant. The role requires setting up and adjusting equipment, mixing coatings, and maintaining viscosity while ensuring quality. You will also operate lift trucks to move materials as needed in a fast-paced facility.

Two shifts are available: 2nd shift with a 3% differential or 3rd shift with a 5% differential. Strong mechanical skills and familiarity with lacquer finishes will help you succeed in this

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Proficiency with hand tools expected.
• Strong safety awareness in high-speed manufacturing.
• Knowledge of lacquer types and finishing techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust equipment to meet specifications.
• Mix tote tanks of coatings, add solvents, maintain viscosity, wash as needed.
• Conduct quality checks and react appropriately to results.
• Operate in-plant mobile equipment, such as lift trucks, to move material to and from storage areas.
