Job summary

Yates Industries, Inc. is seeking a CNC programmer/ machinist to turn hydraulic/pneumatic components. You will translate drawings into CNC programs, set up lathes, adjust speeds/feeds, and run first articles to print.

You will collaborate with engineering for manufacturability, production for throughput, and quality for verification. The role requires reading blueprints, programming and operating CNC lathes, and strong math skills.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints.
• Proficient in G-code and CNC programming.
• Experience programming and operating CNC lathes.
• Familiar with Mazak Mazatrol or Mazak Fusion preferred.
• Strong math skills and tool offset adjustments.
• Hands-on machining and setup experience.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and perform final machining to meet specs.
• Create and refine CNC programs for consistent results.
• Sequence work orders to meet customer deadlines.
• Maintain safety and adhere to procedures on the floor.
• Preventive maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment ready.
• Set tooling/offsets, run parts, verify against print.
• Interpret drawings and specifications for tooling and speeds.
