Job summary

Yates Industries is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Programmer/Operator on 1st shift to program, set up, and operate milling machines for precision hydraulic and pneumatic components. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, selecting tools, and ensuring tolerances through in-process inspections.

Candidates should read blueprints, write CNC programs, and perform maintenance. Mazak experience is a plus in our fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or five years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in G-code programming and CAM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC milling machines from drawings.
• Write, store, and retrieve CNC programs and tool paths.
• Plan machining time by reviewing work orders, blueprints, and specs.
• Read blueprints and inspect parts for conformance to specifications.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain machine and tooling; perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
