Job summary

The Entwistle Company in Hudson, MA seeks a skilled CNC Lathe Technician to set up, program, and operate engine lathes producing precision components for defense applications. You will select tooling, set offsets, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances on production runs.

You’ll work with G-code/M-code, verify with micrometers and calipers, and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced shop. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to grow your machining

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of machining experience or equivalent technical training.
• Experience setting up and operating CNC lathes in a production environment.
• Familiarity with G-code and M-code programming.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and use inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate engine and large CNC lathes to machine castings, forgings, plates, bars, and custom parts.
• Achieve tight tolerances and specified finishes on large, complex workpieces.
• Program and edit at the machine to enhance accuracy, repeatability, and throughput.
• Inspect components with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators) to verify conformance.
