Job summary

Jobot in Connecticut is seeking a skilled CNC Turning Machinist to join a high-precision manufacturing team. This role sets up, programs (optional), and operates CNC lathes to produce tight-tolerance components for diverse industries.

2nd and 3rd shifts are available. Competitive hourly pay, overtime opportunities, and comprehensive benefits accompany a stable, long-term manufacturing environment. High school or GED required, 3–7+ years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

3–7+ years of CNC machining experience, focus on CNC turning/lathe work, high-precision or tight-tolerance manufacturing
Experience in metal stamping, automotive, aerospace, or medical industries preferred
Experience with CNC lathes/turning centers (Mazak, Haas, Okuma, Doosan, etc.)
Working knowledge of G-code programming and edits (preferred)
Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T, tooling and cutting parameters
Ability to use precision inspection tools

Responsibilities

Set up, program (optional depending on level), and operate CNC lathes/turning centers to produce tight-tolerance components
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to ensure parts meet specifications
Inspect finished parts for conformance using precision measurement tools
