Job summary

Premier Granite & Stone LLC is seeking a Machine Operator to run CNC machines and saws for cutting, shaping, and finishing granite and stone materials. The role requires precision, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to follow technical specifications.

You will set up equipment, monitor performance, inspect finished products, perform maintenance, and document production data while adhering to safety procedures and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous CNC/SAW experience.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Knowledge of stone materials, cutting techniques, and tooling.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and saws, including programming and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines and saws according to job specifications, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming the machines.
• Operate CNC machines and saws to cut, shape, and finish granite and stone materials with precision and efficiency.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, including measurements, surface finish, and edge profiles.
• Identify and address any defects or issues in the production process.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to prevent issues.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct safety checks on machinery before and after each use.
• Safely handle and move granite and stone slabs, ensuring they are positioned correctly for cutting and processing.
• Manage inventory and organize materials in the workspace.
• Maintain and replace cutting tools and saw blades as needed.
• Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Maintain records of machine settings, production data, and quality control checks.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to supervisors.
