Job summary

Mission Critical Group is seeking a Sheet Metal Operator to fabricate parts using CNC equipment, including punch and break presses, on the production floor in the United States. The role requires reading blueprints, precise measurement with calipers/protractors, and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Responsibilities include handling raw sheet metal, loading materials, coordinating with CNC peers, and performing related duties while ensuring quality and on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of sheet metal fabrication or CNC operator.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Excellent mechanical skills and aptitude with CNC sheet metal equipment.
• Self-motivated with problem solving and integrity.
• Maintain 97% attendance rate with minimal tardiness.
• Teamwork and communication: responsive and positive attitude.
• Contribute at least one improvement idea per quarter.
• Safety compliance: PPE adherence and no violations.
• Joint accountability to achieve targets.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate high-quality products using Punch Press or Break Press machines.
• Retrieve punch lists, parts lists, and CNC programs.
• Locate and move raw sheet metal material as described by the parts list.
• Load materials onto the machine and secure for punching or breaking.
• Select dies, punches, tools, and align for optimal performance.
• Coordinate with other CNC Operators to adjust machine controls.
• Monitor machines and displays to ensure proper operation.
• Use calipers and protractors to measure finished parts.
• Stage completed parts for the next fabrication phase.
• Maintain a safe, clean, well-organized work area.
• Perform side operations during machine cycles as required.
• Train with the Bus CNC Foremen to operate both machines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
