Job summary

Acloché LLC in Buffalo, NY, seeks a skilled CNC Programmer to develop and optimize programs for precision machined parts. You will work closely with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality to translate engineering requirements into safe, efficient machining processes that meet tolerances.

The role involves selecting tooling, writing and verifying G-code, supporting first-piece prove-outs, and improving toolpaths, cycle times, and surface finish while maintaining revision-controlled

Qualifications

• Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
• Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate effectively with machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings and requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select tools, holders, and setup strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and simulation to identify machining risks before release.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, and operator instructions with revision control.
• Collaborate with quality to address dimensional issues and verify prints.
• Assist with fixture concepts and feedback on manufacturability.
