Job summary

Signode Industrial Group is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Machinist to create CAM programs and operate CNC mills, ensuring precision across steel, aluminum, and plastic components. The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, selecting tooling, and maintaining setup documentation.

Based in Roselle, IL, the position offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities to optimize manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

Associates degree preferred, equivalent work experience will be considered.
Combination of 10 years in CNC programming and machining (3-axis, multi-axis milling and lathe).
Proficiency with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Solidworks CAM).
Strong understanding of machining principles, materials, and cutting tools.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
Familiarity with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMMs).
Experience with MS Office; SharePoint, Solidworks and Autodesk CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop CAM programs for CNC milling operations using CAD/CAM software.
Set up and operate CNC mills, including tooling selection, setup, and machine calibration.
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate part production.
Perform in-process and final inspections of machined components using precision measuring tools.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste.
Maintain documentation for setups, tooling, and machining processes.
