Job summary

Signode is seeking an experienced CAM programmer to join our manufacturing team in Illinois. You will develop CAM programs for CNC milling, set up and operate mills, and inspect parts against drawings to ensure high-quality production.

You will also determine tooling, optimize processes, and collaborate with engineering to improve efficiency and reduce waste. The role requires strong experience with CAM software (Mastercam/SolidWorks CAM), a solid understanding of GD&T, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• 10 years combined CNC programming and machining experience required.
• Experience with 3-axis and multi-axis milling and lathe is essential.
• Proficient with CAM software such as Mastercam and SolidWorks CAM.
• Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CAM programs for CNC milling operations.
• Set up and operate CNC mills, select tooling, calibrate machines.
• Interpret drawings to ensure exact part production.
• Inspect machined components using precision tools.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Maintain documentation for setups and machining processes.
