Job summary

Metropolitan Cabinets & Countertops in Norwood is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our busy stone fabrication shop. You will translate CAD templates into precise machine code and optimize nesting for material yield.

Candidates should have proven CNC programming experience in a manufacturing setting, strong mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently or with a team in a fast-paced shop environment. Proficiency with AlphaCam, Easy Stone, and Slabsmith is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of machining processes.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shop Work Orders and prepare for production.
• Digitize hard templates or import digital templates for production.
• Programs are written using Alpha Cam, Easy Stone and Slabsmith platforms.
• Importing sink files / assigning set backs / faucet drilling / assigning edge details.
• Nesting pieces on slabs for optimal aesthetic appearance.
• Nesting pieces for optimal yield.
• Maintain equipment by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
• Working safely at all time is critical.
