Job summary

Crane Company is seeking a CNC operator capable of running NC, CNC, milling and turning machines in a safe, quality-focused environment. You will read blueprints, measure parts with precision tools, and document results to ensure conformance to specifications.

You will also perform basic setups, participate in 5S housekeeping, and prepare components for subsequent operations while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to read blueprints and understand tolerances.
• Basic math skills required for setting up and verifying parts.
• Must be able to use precision measuring instruments accurately.
• High school education is required.
• 0-1 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates NC, CNC, milling and turning machines with basic setup.
• Uses micrometers, verniers, and calipers to measure parts to print.
• Reports quality data and fills out required documentation.
• Reads and interprets blueprints for components.
• Inspects parts for defects and conformance to specs.
• Follows routing and ensures correct sequence and run time.
• Maintains 5S in work area and keeps tools clean.
• Prepares components for next operation per standards.
• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Escalates safety or machining issues as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
