Job summary

RAF Electronic Hardware in Seymour, CT is seeking a CNC Operator I to operate and set up CNC equipment, manufacturing high-precision components per engineering specs. The role emphasizes reading blueprints, setting up tooling, and ensuring quality through inspection and adjustments.

The ideal candidate will have experience with precision measuring tools, be able to interpret drawings, and work without supervisory duties. Overtime may be required to meet production demands.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience in coiling and/or equivalent machine operation and setup.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

• Review blueprints and setup charts to determine machine setup procedures and material specs.
• Install machine attachments and tools according to setup requirements.
• Verify material dimensions with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Perform trial runs and inspect samples to verify conformance to specifications.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain tolerances and quality standards.
