Job summary

BARNES AEROSPACE WEST CHESTER MRO is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines, ensuring parts conform to specification and quality standards. This is a safety-sensitive position with FAA and DOT drug and alcohol testing rules.

The role requires two years of production/shop experience and a high school diploma or equivalent. Weekend work is Fri-Sun 6am-6pm; duties include monitoring dimensions, completing quality paperwork, and building electrodes for

• Must be able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply or divide
• Must be able to follow simple instructions or directions
• Must communicate verbally and in writing as to work requirements, progress or completion
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Grinder, EDM or Laser machines to ensure parts meet specifications
• Monitor parts dimensions using calipers, micrometers and height gages
• Complete paperwork to document quality of parts
• Check paperwork to determine assembly and options
• Assemble components by verifying connections and fit
• Use precision tools to verify dimensions
• Build electrodes for Fast Hole EDM
