Job summary

CMMG seeks a skilled CNC Operator for its Boonville, MO facility. This onsite role involves loading and tending CNC machines, reading blueprints, and maintaining strict quality standards to meet production targets.

You will perform tool changes, inspect parts with precision gauges, and keep accurate documentation while contributing to lean manufacturing efforts and a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years in manufacturing or machining or equivalent training.
• Basic understanding of CNC machining processes and workflow.
• Prior CNC operation experience (mills, lathes, or multi-axis).
• Experience in metal finishing, deburring or post-machining polishing.
• Familiarity with G-code fundamentals and machine setup concepts.
• Experience with production documentation and inspection records.
• Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

• Load and tend CNC machines for turning, threading, drilling, reaming, and related functions.
• Start, monitor, and adjust machines to meet quality tolerances.
• Identify worn tools and perform tool changes as needed.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges; document results.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and safe operating practices.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements; support process improvements.
