Job summary

MAPP Technologies in Joplin, Missouri is seeking a Machinist II to set up and operate CNC machines on the 1st shift, performing tool changes and offsets to produce precision parts.

You will read blueprints and specs, conduct in-process and final inspections with precision instruments, and collaborate with programmers and engineers to optimize cycles and reduce scrap while maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years machining experience recommended.
• Experience with Haas, Mazak, and Fanuc controls.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and runs CNC machines independently, including tool changes and offsets.
• Reads customer specs, blueprints, and inspection criteria to ensure part conformity.
• Conducts in-process inspections and final quality checks using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborates with programmers and engineers to optimize processes and reduce scrap.
