Job summary

Guhring USA is seeking a CNC OD Grinder/Operator for the Brookfield area to set up and run CNC grinding equipment, producing precision carbide and steel cutting tools with tight tolerances.

You will change over for custom orders, select wheels and tooling, inspect parts with precision instruments, and document production data while keeping a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• CNC Certificate or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred.
• 1+ year of CNC machine setup and operation experience.
• Grinding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience with CNC grinding equipment and precision measuring.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for precision machining operations.
• Perform frequent machine changeovers for custom and small-batch orders.
• Select grinding wheels, tooling, and programs; adjust as needed.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring equipment.
• Operate multiple machines when production requirements allow.
• Enter production data and maintain accurate job documentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate maintenance needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

We are seeking a CNC OD Grinder / Operator to set up and operate CNC grinding equipment, producing high-quality carbide and steel cutting tools while maintaining close tolerances and maximizing efficiency.

• Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for precision machining operations.

What We're Looking For

CNC Certificate or equivalent manufacturing experience preferred. 1+ year of CNC machine setup and operation experience.

• Grinding experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, shop drawings, and work instructions.
• Strong math and trigonometry skills.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Computer skills and ability to enter machine programs and production data.
• Experience with CNC grinding equipment such as Toyoda, Studer, Mitsubishi, Tschudin, Kellenberger, or Reinecker is highly desirable.
