Job summary

Vaupell in Agawam, MA seeks a CNC Machinist to produce small to mid-size precision parts on CNC lathes, milling machines and bridgeports. You will load, run and inspect parts to meet specifications, maintaining quality records and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED with CNC concentration and 3+ years of related experience, plus proficiency in reading English instructions and basic math. Shift is Monday–Friday 7am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with CNC concentration and 3+ years related experience.
• Graduate from a technical program with CNC machining emphasis.
• Ability to read, interpret instructions and maintain safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Load, operate, clean and maintain CNC machines and other shop equipment.
• Ensure parts meet specifications to satisfy customers.
• Measure work pieces to verify settings and tolerances.
• Perform drilling, grooving, turning and threading operations as required.
• Record quality data and maintain documentation per regs and internal SOPs.
• Follow all Vaupell policies, procedures and safety practices.
• Other duties as assigned.
