Job summary

CMI Group – Systems 3 in Tempe, AZ seeks an experienced CNC Mill Machinist to set up and operate CNC mill centers, producing aerospace and defense components with close tolerances. You will read blueprints, GD&T, and routings, load and edit programs, and verify first-piece and in-process parts using precision instruments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CNC mill setup and operation experience in a precision environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience loading, verifying, and editing CNC programs; strong tooling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision parts.
• Read blueprints and GD&T, adjust tooling and offsets to maintain tolerances.
• Verify first-piece and in-process parts with precision instruments; troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor processes and identify improvements to reduce cycle times and improve quality.
