Job summary

Legacy Talent Search is seeking a Press Brake Operator for our client in Vancouver, WA. The role involves setting up and operating CNC/manual press brake equipment to bend metal parts to print or drawing specifications.

Ideal candidates read blueprints, use calipers and other measuring tools, and perform first-piece to final inspections. The position requires up to 50 lbs lifting, good math skills, and teamwork in a safety-conscious shop.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating press brakes preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using calipers, tape measures, protractors, and angle gauges.
• Strong math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Teamwork and communication skills; capable of working independently.
• Experience with CNC press brake controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual press brake equipment to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and bend schedules.
• Select tooling, dies, and machine settings to achieve required dimensions and tolerances.
• Inspect completed parts using measuring tools to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product accuracy and consistency.
• Troubleshoot equipment and production issues and adjust machines as needed.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products safely.
• Maintain production records and document work performed.
• Follow safety procedures and keep a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and pursue continuous improvement.
• Report malfunctions, quality concerns, or hazards to supervisors promptly.
