Job summary

Schulte Staffing in Newburyport, MA seeks a Sr CNC Machinist to lead setup and operation of newly installed machinery. You will program, edit, and run CNC centers and turning centers, reading blueprints and ensuring tight tolerances.

You will train teammates, develop machining processes, and troubleshoot with Fanuc, Mazatrol, or Trak controls. A high school diploma and 5+ years of CNC experience are required; MasterCam is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining center and turning center setup, operation and programming.
• Experience setting up fixtures, calculating feed rates and cutting speeds.
• Prior CNC programming and program editing required.
• Ability to maintain quality standards and follow procedures.
• Experience with Fanuc, Mazatrol or Trak CNC controls; MasterCam is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and program CNC machining centers and turning centers.
• Participate in CNC programming and editing as needed.
• Read complex drawings and manufacture parts to tight tolerances.
• Measure components with precision instruments and monitor in-process work.
• Troubleshoot machin ing issues and assist teammates.
• Train others and contribute to process and equipment improvements.
