Boyd is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate CNC machinery on metal work pieces to exact specifications. The role emphasizes quality, safety, housekeeping, and process integrity within the Machining department.

You may cross-train in Sanding, Drilling, and Saws. Strong blueprint reading, basic computer skills, and precise measuring are required to ensure parts meet print specifications.

Formación

• Must be able to read and comprehend all blueprints and work instructions.
• Ability to learn basic computer skills and use basic software programs.
• Basic understanding of technical language tools and specifications.
• Ability to use measuring equipment including dial and/or digital calipers.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to lift, push, pull and maneuver heavy parts.
• Excellent manual dexterity with good hand/eye coordination.
• Must communicate effectively with peers, supervision, and vendors.
• Ability to take direction and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent attendance with flexibility for overtime.

Responsabilidades

• Get job assignment and communicate with the previous operator briefly at shift start.
• Perform quick machine checks before starting operations.
• Verify paperwork, print number, revision levels, operation sequence, materials, program and check sheet.
• Run first parts and verify dimensions against print.
• Produce parts efficiently while following instructions and clocking in/out.
• Maintain quality audits to meet customer specs.
• Deburr parts per work instructions or print.
• Make regulated adjustments with proper authorization.
• Change worn/broken tooling using proper procedures.
• Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
