Job summary

Thread-Craft-Inc. is seeking a General Machinist to operate and maintain a range of precision equipment, including CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and saws.

You will support multiple manufacturing departments, read blueprints, set up machines, and contribute to high-quality components. The ideal candidate has a strong machining foundation, a willingness to learn, good problem-solving skills, and the initiative to improve processes while working safely in a team

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machinist apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
• Experience operating manual and/or CNC machining equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a variety of machining equipment including CNC machines, manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and saws.
• Support multiple manufacturing departments based on production priorities.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
• Set up machines and equipment to produce precision components to specification.
• Monitor machining operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
• Inspect completed parts using measuring equipment and quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
