Job summary

IDEX Corporation in the United States seeks an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate manual and CNC lathes and mills for high-precision prototype and production work. The role requires interpreting blueprints and applying engineering tolerance specifications, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

You will be responsible for tooling, machine setup, and sequence planning, while assisting training and proposing improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Proficiency in algebra, trigonometry and geometric calculations.

Responsibilities

• Machine parts using CNC milling machines, lathes, and other metalworking equipment.
• Consult with shop manager and engineers on job details and tolerances.
• Program CNC machines, set up tooling, and sequence operations for parts.
• Train others as needed and suggest process improvements.
• Ensure proper fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, and tool selections.
