IDEX Materials Science Solutions, a unit of IDEX Corporation, seeks a skilled CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift (2:00pm-10:30pm) in the Machine Shop. The role involves setting up and operating manual and CNC lathes and mills, performing high-precision prototype work, and maintaining tooling and equipment.

Qualifications

• Three or more years as a CNC Machinist.
• Two or more years CNC programming experience.
• One or more years technical experience with prototype machinist work using mills and lathes.
• One or more years Technical Machinist training.

Responsibilities

• Machines various parts using CNC milling machines, manual and CNC lathes.
• Consults with Optics Shop Manager and Engineers on job details and specifications.
• Produces high precision prototype parts with minimal input and makes corrections as needed.
• Reads blueprints and job orders to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.
• Sets up tooling and sequences of operations to produce machined parts.
• Trains others as needed and suggests improvements.
