Job summary

GEORG FISCHER is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to set up and operate milling machines, lathes, and related equipment. The role emphasizes precision with close tolerances, safety compliance, and adherence to quality systems in a manufacturing environment.

The candidate will read blueprints, write and interpret G-code, and use precision measuring tools to ensure part accuracy while maintaining efficient production schedules and standard work practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience operating CNC mills and/or CNC lathes.
• Ability to fluently read and write G-Code.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools.
• Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.
• Ability to operate overhead and jib cranes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate milling machines, lathes, saws and related equipment.
• Follow Soil Environmental, Health & Safety rules and 6S standards.
• Maintain accuracy with close tolerances and ensure safety practices.
• Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18801 requirements.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work extended periods with equipment.
