Job summary

H. T. PROF Group in New York specializes in precision injection mold tooling. The CNC Machinist/Programmer will develop Mastercam programs, set up and operate high-precision milling equipment, and produce close-tolerance components for mold tooling.

You will interpret SolidWorks CAD models, perform hard milling on hardened tool steels and graphite, and collaborate with Mold Makers and Engineers to ensure manufacturability and accuracy while adhering to OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Mastercam CNC programming and toolpath generation.
• Ability to read and interpret 3D CAD models (SolidWorks preferred).
• Hands-on CNC mill setup and operation experience.
• Understanding of machining principles, tooling, and feeds/speeds.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to hold tight tolerances.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 40 lbs or more.

Responsibilities

• Program complex 3‑axis toolpaths using Mastercam for mold components and electrodes.
• Use SolidWorks to interpret models and prepare geometry for programming.
• Set up and operate CNC milling machines including Mikron Mill S 500 and Haas VM2.
• Perform hard milling and high-speed machining on hardened tool steels.
• Manufacture precision graphite electrodes for EDM processes.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools.
• Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine cleanliness.
• Collaborate with Mold Makers and Engineers to ensure manufacturability and accuracy.
• Follow company and OSHA safety policies.
