Job summary

SR Precision Holdings LLC in Troy, IL is seeking a skilled CNC Mill Programmer to develop and optimize CNC programs for precision manufacturing. You will work with advanced CNC equipment and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and high-quality blow mold components.

The role requires strong Mastercam skills, GD&T understanding, and a track record in complex mills.

Qualifications

Proven experience with CNC programming, including G-code creation, editing, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Mastercam experience including Wire is required.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, plans and instructions.
Knowledge of GD&T and geometric tolerancing in precision machining.
Math/geometry skills for tolerances and QA checks.
Experience with CAD tools such as SolidWorks for review and interpretation.
CMM inspection methods and use of precision measuring instruments.
Familiarity with SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and process improvement.
Tooling selection and setup knowledge; exposure to EDM is a plus.
Experience in plastics injection molding or blow mold manufacturing is preferred.
Able to operate forklifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Develop, create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for precision machining operations.
Select cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and strategies to meet tolerances and production goals.
Review drawings, CAD models, and work instructions to determine requirements.
Set up, prove out, and test CNC programs for accuracy and safety.
Troubleshoot and adjust programs to improve part quality and efficiency.
Monitor processes and adjust feeds, speeds, tooling, and programs as needed.
Inspect components with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other equipment.
Document programs, revisions, setups, tooling, and production records.
Perform mechanical and assembly work to support machining operations.
Share knowledge across the team and mentor less experienced machinists.
Protect machines and tooling from damage with proper programming practices.
