Job summary

Top Prospect Group in Bloomfield, CT is seeking a skilled CNC Specialist / Programmer-Machinist to program, set up, and run high-precision CNC equipment for tight-tolerance components in moldmaking and electrode machining.

You will work with Cimatron software and Micron machines with Heidenhain controls, handling 3-axis and 5-axis milling centers, reading blueprints, and ensuring accuracy to ±0.0002 inches.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years CNC machining and NC programming experience.
• Proficient with 3-axis and 5-axis milling and setting up machines.
• Read blueprints and 3D CAD models with accuracy.
• Cimatron experience preferred or strong CAM background.
• Ability to hold ±0.0002" tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC toolpaths to achieve finish, accuracy, and tool life.
• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis milling centers.
• Interpret blueprints and 3D models for production.
• Perform final inspections using precision metrology tools (CMM, micrometers).
• Maintain a clean, safe machining environment.
