Job summary

ProMach is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Minnesota to set up, operate, and optimize CNC milling and turning centers. You will work in a high-mix/low-volume shop, reading blueprints and applying GD&T to produce precision parts.

You should have 3+ years of CNC experience, familiarity with MasterCAM/SolidWorks/Fusion 360, and the ability to maintain tight tolerances and modify programs as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience.
• Vertical/horizontal machining experience; 4th/5th axis a plus.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (MasterCAM, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
• Experience machining tight-tolerance components and interpreting drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, including vertical, horizontal, and multi-axis machines.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.
• Verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision tools.
• Maintain tight tolerances (often ±0.0001″) and adjust tooling, offsets, and programs as needed.
• Run existing CNC programs and make minor edits for efficiency or accuracy.
• Machine a variety of metals and non-metal materials in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
• Inspect parts during and after machining to ensure print compliance and quality.
