Job summary

Microwave Techniques in Gorham, Maine, is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our Components Division. The role requires 3–5 years of manual machining experience and involves interpreting blueprints, setting up CNC equipment, and collaborating with engineers to meet exact specifications.

You will work in a high-precision manufacturing environment, performing maintenance and quality checks while lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of CNC Machinist experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and setup sheets.
• Attention to detail and safety procedures.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of machines, tools and their maintenance.
• Interpret blueprints, setup sheets and work tickets.
• Upload/download programs into CNC equipment per specs.
• Set up CNC equipment with correct tooling and parts.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors and programmers.
• Inspect and maintain equipment.
• Ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments.
• Set up, adjust and operate basic and advanced machine tools.
• Understand materials, processes and quality control for manufacturing.
• Perform preventive maintenance on CNC equipment.
