Job summary

Tri City Extrusion Inc. is seeking a skilled Machine Shop Technician to operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints, and support precision part fabrication in a fast-paced shop.

You will set up tools, edit NC programs, inspect parts for tolerance, and train others. This on-site role requires lifting up to 75 lbs and adherence to safety standards; PQV Level I certification is preferred or achievable on-site.

Qualifications

• Requires 1 year hands-on machining or 3 years relevant technical experience.
• PQV Level I certification or ability to be trained.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Reads blueprints, drawings, and related docs to meet tolerances.
• Operates NC/CNC programs for feed and speed adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machine tools including precision equipment, presses and CNC machines.
• Perform setup functions: tool grinding, fixture setup, machine set points, and prep.
• Fabricate, machine and finish parts to specification.
• Inspect work to ensure drawing and process conformity.
• Read from blueprints and verbal instructions to complete tasks.
• Edit NC programs for adjustments to feeds and speeds.
• Maintain work areas and train others as needed.
