Job summary

Aerotek in Apex, NC is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate LANG CNC engraving and milling machines for precise components. You will load and verify programs, read blueprints, select tooling, and document production and quality activities on shift.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of CNC experience, strong measuring tool skills, and a detail-focused mindset for high-quality outputs. This is an onsite manufacturing role with comprehensive benefits and рост pay ranges.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CNC operation experience preferred.
• Hands-on engraving, milling, routing, machining, tooling or precision manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings accurately.
• Familiarity with G-Code and CNC controls used in machining operations.
• Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges and other inspection tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills and machine software navigation.
• Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing and troubleshooting basic machine issues.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate LANG CNC engraving and milling machines for production runs.
• Load, verify, and run CNC programs according to work orders and specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, work orders, and technical specifications.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine performance during operation and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and minor program edits to optimize machining processes.
• Inspect finished products using calipers, micrometers, gauges and other measuring devices.
• Confirm cosmetic quality of engraved and machined parts and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality documentation for all jobs completed.
• Troubleshoot machine issues, identify root causes, and elevate more complex repairs
• Perform routine machine cleaning and preventive maintenance to keep equipment in optimal condition.
• Follow safety, quality and manufacturing procedures throughout daily operations.
