ManpowerGroup in Yakima, WA is seeking a CNC Machinist for a direct hire/permanent role. You will set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts, reading blueprints or CAD/CAM files and measuring tolerances with precision instruments.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, machinist experience, and proficiency with CMM and measurement tools. Lean manufacturing familiarity and additional skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience as machinist or similar role preferred.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and reading blueprints/CAD/CAM files.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret CAD/CAM data.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to produce precision parts.
• Read blueprints, sketches, or CAD/CAM files.
• Measure dimensions with micrometers and calipers to tolerances.
• Machine parts using lathes, mills, grinders, and related equipment.
• Inspect finished work for defects and conformance to specs.
• Secure fixtures and tools onto machines and monitor feed/speed.
• Review sample parts and drawings to plan operations.
