Job summary

Molex, a leader in aerospace and defense solutions, is seeking a CNC Machinist to set up and operate precision CNC equipment. You will read engineering drawings, load tooling, verify setups, and inspect parts to ensure conformance to specifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and tolerances.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
• Read blueprints and process documentation to produce parts.
• Load materials, fixtures, and tooling and verify setup prior to production.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust tools/ offsets to maintain quality.
• Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
• Verify conformance to specifications and quality requirements.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and escalate as needed.
• Replace cutting tools and maintain tooling upkeep.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping.
• Complete production records and inspection documentation accurately.
• Support first article inspections and process validation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
