Job summary

ADDMAN Engineering in New York is seeking an experienced machinist/operator to set up, operate, and maintain a wide range of machining equipment. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure precise parts and high utilization.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints, sketches, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to operate and adjust machining equipment and NC/CNC programs.
• Familiarity with safety rules and quality management systems (AS9100/ISO 9000).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, clean, and maintain machining equipment onsite.
• Inspect workpieces for dimensions and tolerances; adjust as needed.
• Select programs, fixtures, tooling, drills, and inserts as required.
• Observe machine operation for malfunctions and correct as necessary.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve issues.
• Read production data, update inventory and recordkeeping systems.
• Perform housekeeping and 5S; ensure a safe work area.
