Job summary

Precinmac is seeking an experienced CNC machinist to set up and operate CNC lathes, mill‑turns, and 3/4/5‑axis mills to produce high‑precision parts for aerospace and other high‑reliability applications.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and implement CAM‑to‑production strategies, maintaining strict tolerances across complex geometries. Collaboration with engineering, quality, and maintenance teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Track record machining medium‑to‑high complexity parts
• Expertise in blueprint reading and GD&T
• Skilled with micrometers, calipers, and indicators; CMM experience is a bonus
• Ability to follow procedures, adapt to change, and run multiple machines
• Strong math fundamentals; deep knowledge of tooling, fixtures, and cutting strategies
• Direct experience on 4‑axis HMCs and/or lathe/mill‑turn platforms
• High school diploma/GED, plus machining coursework or 2+ years CNC experience

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes, mill‑turns, and 3/4/5‑axis mills for repeatable quality
• Program prove‑outs, offset adjustments, and on‑control edits that turn CAM into reality
• Inspect with precision tools; take swift corrective action to protect tolerances
• Decipher prints and GD&T; translate into practical machining strategies
• Keep equipment and work areas orderly; perform preventive maintenance
• Collaborate across production, engineering, maintenance, and quality
